Online Distance Education Program
The revolutionary new Distance Education Program is extremely popular with agility competitors who have access to training space in the winter but are struggling to come up with a focused plan. These programs include goal setting, homework, accountability and a forum for discussing training with peers and top agility competitors. You can register as an individual, group, club or instructor. These programs are available for less than two cups of coffee a day! Contact kathy@boywoodbordercollies.com for more information!
There are currently four modules available. All programs are 16 weeks in length.
Preparation for Regionals Program – Get ready to rock!
This program focuses on preparing a team for the challenges of handling Masters courses under pressure. The program goes through a series of progressive exercises to make sure your skills are in place for the complex challenges that follow. Primarily focuses on Standard and Jumpers handling skills, course work, speed and accuracy and mental preparation.
Gambling Maniacs
No Velcro here! This program builds distance to individual obstacles and sequences, and then teaches directional skills at distance. You learn course strategy, timing and how to make the best points choices for your dog.
Novice Fast-Track
This program helps novice handlers (or experienced handlers with novice dogs) develop a solid handling foundation. Complex skills are introduced gradually and as the team is ready for it. By the end of 16 weeks, the team is performing complex sequencing.
Puppy Primer
Have a new pup? You can start teaching your pup important foundation skills that will help him with his agility career! Basic obedience, play, confidence, rear end awareness, and targeting skills are all examples of skills that are introduced in this program.
More programs are being developed. If you have any suggestions, please let Kathy know at kathy@boywoodbordercollies.com.
